The panel will consist of organizers and educators from Philadelphia who work with youth from immigrant, migrant, and refugee families. They will share their own stories to disrupt dominant narratives of immigrant students. They will also discuss the intergenerational and intersectional effects of oppression, and what they have learned from youth empowerment spaces about the role that critical education can play in supporting transformative and liberatory teaching and learning.
