Supporting prospective teachers to engage learners during school closures

Teacher educators from across the country discuss how they are supporting prospective teachers to connect and teach students virtually.

This session is the third in the series “Collaboratory Conversations: Virtual Education, Well-Being, and Equity during the Coronavirus Crisis"

The Collaboratory is pleased to offer a series of conversations, free and open to members of the GSE and education community more broadly.

  •  April 13:  Fostering student engagement in online classes
  •  April 20: Sustaining our own and prospective teachers’ mental health and well-being
  •  April 27: Supporting prospective teachers to engage learners during school closures
  •  May 4: Addressing issues of educational equity during the current health crisis

All virtual conversations will take place from 3-4 PM EDT.

The Collaboratory for Teacher Education at Penn GSE is a laboratory for the design, implementation, and study of innovative approaches to teacher education, enhancing teacher development opportunities across the professional continuum, and fostering public engagement in issues impacting teachers and teaching.
