Dr. Sharon Wolf, Assistant Professor of Education in the Human Development and Quantitative Methods Division, will present a colloquium titled: "Developmental Science in Action: Transforming Early Childhood Education in Ghana through Research-Practice Partnerships."
Sharon Wolf is an expert in child development and how early family and school environments affect learning outcomes. She studies the links between poverty, social policies, education, and child development through experimental and quasi-experimental methods. This work includes assessing the role high-quality education plays in bolstering development for children who face adversity. Wolf is currently partnering with Innovations for Poverty Action and the Ministry of Education in Ghana to improve that quality of the country’s universal kindergarten education system.
