Penn LDI will co-host the Samuel P. Martin, III, MD Memorial Lecture along with the Division of General Internal Medicine and the National Clinician Scholars Program. The talk, titled "Identifying and Addressing Disparities in Care for People with Disabilities," will be given by Tara Lagu, MD, MPH.
There are more than 60 million Americans with disabilities and many face barriers to accessing medical care and experience disparities in outcomes. Dr. Lagu will describe findings from more than a decade of work focused on understanding the mechanisms that lead to disparities for this population and will explore potential solutions.
Please note: In-person attendance at this event is preferred. Virtual access will be provided to registrants who are unable to be on campus.
