The Light of Creative Altruism: Penn Talent Search Third Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Exhibition

Grades 6–12 Talent Search Scholars students from across Philadelphia will showcase their artwork highlighting Dr. King’s famous quote, “Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.”

You are cordially invited to join Penn Talent Search and the Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Programs as we celebrate the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., by presenting a group of Talent Search Scholars students from across Philadelphia from grades 6 through 12 as they showcase various forms of their artwork, representing a theme highlighting Dr. King and his famous quote, “Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.”
 
Talent Search is a federally funded TRIO program in the office of the Vice Provost for Student Engagement that provides academic support and college-access opportunities to 6th-12th grade students from across Philadelphia. This group of honored participants will showcase their art in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Family and community members are invited to attend.
