Navigating Difficult Conversations: Supporting Students in Complex Times

This session will equip Penn GSE staff who engage with our students to navigate emotionally charged conversations and situations, such as those that may arise around the upcoming election and other sensitive events this fall. Participants will learn about and workshop best practices for providing empathetic support to students and directing them to appropriate GSE, University, and external resources for further support. This session will be facilitated by Raquel Arredondo and the Office of DEIB, Ronika Money Adams and the Office of Student Success, Kate Hellings and the Office of Human Resources, and Mark Harmon-Vaught and the Office of the Dean.
