Join us for Dr. Gaby Barajas-Gonzalez's seminar “The Impact of Immigration Enforcement Threat on School Communities: A Focus on Educators, Parent Engagement and Child Well-Being."

Dr. Gabriela Barajas-Gonzalez is an associate professor at New York University Langone’s Department of Population Health. Her research aims to reduce disparities in Latine children’s mental health, health, and academic achievement by understanding how social stressors (e.g. immigration threat, financial hardship, racism) influence Latine and immigrant caregivers and child well-being so as to inform intervention, policy, and practice.

The Spring Speaker Series is a great opportunity to engage with leading experts in education research. The series is hosted by Penn's IES Predoctoral Training Program and open to all Penn students, faculty, and staff.  While we prefer all in-person attendance, a virtual option is available  as well. Please contact Cecilia Dye (cdye@upenn.edu) for the Zoom information.
