Good Morning America features ECS student Sanah Jivani’s story of overcoming bullying and finding herself

November 12, 2019

Sanah Jivani is a student in Penn GSE's Education, Culture, and Society master's program.

Sanah Jivani began November 7 sitting on a couch with Good Morning America host Robin Roberts.

Jivani told the story of how she went from losing her hair at age 12 from alopecia, to being bullied through middle school, to starting a foundation dedicated to helping people love, accept, and celebrate who they are.

Jivani’s story brought Roberts to tears. She asked what was next.

“I’m getting on a bus and heading to class,” Jivani said.

Just another day for Jivani, who is a student in Penn GSE’s Education, Culture, and Society master’s program and Penn’s nonprofit leadership program, while also serving as founder and CEO of the Love Your Natural Self Foundation
