Black History Month's Book Drive - For Staff & Faculty

Celebrate the trailblazers, milestones, and achievements of the Black community, and donate anti-racist books to future leaders.

Participate:

In the Microsoft Teams All Staff & Faculty channel, post one of the following, or both:

• Video of you talking about a black historical figure or event (max 1 minute and family participation welcomed)

• Details of an event that you're attending (great if it's with a colleague) related to Black History Month or other DEI advancement work

Donate:

For each video or event post, we will donate a book featuring black characters and narratives (up to thirty books) to Henry C. Lea Elementary School.

At the end of the month, a participant will also be randomly selected for a treat. And everyone can vote on what books to donate out of a selection from GSE's “Best Books for Young Readers” lists.
