The Celebration of Writing and Literacy is an annual one-day conference presented by and for Philadelphia educators and will be held on October 12, 2019 at Penn Graduate School of Education, Stiteler Hall, 208 S. 37th St., 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. This year's event is focused on teacher research and knowledge. Featured speakers include Shani Robinson and Anna Simonton, authors of None of the Above: The Untold Story ofthe Atlanta Public Schools Cheating Scandal, Corporate Greed, and the Criminalization of Educators and Nicole Mirra, author of Educating for Empathy: Literacy Learning and Civic Engagement.
