Ariana Mangual Figueroa is an associate professor in urban education and Latin American, Iberian, and Latino Cultures at The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. For the last five years, she has served as a co-principal investigator of the CUNY Initiative on Immigration and Education. Her forthcoming book, Knowing Silence: How Children Talk about Immigration Status in School, will be published in April 2024.
