Are you looking for an advanced professional learning program designed to provide you with skills to build stronger relationships, and manage challenging negotiations with your team—while giving you the space to practice, experiment, and reflect on simulations in real-time?
The Leading Effective Teams professional learning program allows you to be curious about the content, and yourself as a leader. You’ll have an opportunity to consider how to apply the strategies and skills directly into your personal and professional experiences.

The Leading Effective Teams program provides accelerated professional learning for managers and leaders in corporations, government institutions, and nonprofits. The program supports managers and leaders to understand why effective leadership is a cognitively demanding task, requiring both adept emotional intelligence as well as expert technical skill, and why most of us must develop as individuals in order to develop as leaders.
The program draws on relevant research, theoretical frameworks, and best practices from psychology, business, negotiation, and collaborative problem-solving, among others.

Zachary Herrmann, Ph.D. | Dr. Herrmann serves as the executive director of the Penn GSE Center for Professional Learning as well as a member of the professional faculty at Penn GSE. Dr. Herrmann teaches about collaboration and team effectiveness, including in the popular course, "Collaboration & Conflict," which engages students in an interdisciplinary exploration of how people work together to solve complex problems. Dr. Herrmann also teaches Negotiations within the M.B.A. program at The Wharton School. |
Emma Grigore | Emma Grigore is the Head of Human Resources at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She has developed several leadership and management training programs, and her areas of expertise include feedback and difficult conversations. |
Raghu Krishnamoorthy, Ed.D. | Dr. Krishnamoorthy worked as an executive, with 38 years of experience in human resources and learning, prior to entering academia. He retired from General Electric after serving as the company's chief human resources officer. He also served as the company's Chief Learning Officer and head of talent over his 25-year tenure at the company, which included HR leadership responsibilities at GE Aviation and GE Healthcare, as well as assignments in other geographies such as Europe and Asia. Under his leadership, Fortune Magazine named GE's learning and development function one of the best in the world. Dr. Krishnamoorthy was named one of the 50 most influential Asian Americans by the Asian American Business Development Center in 2009. |
Flavio Serapiao, Ed.D. | Dr. Serapiao is a postdoctoral fellow and lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education (Penn GSE). He has a master’s and a doctoral degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Organizational Learning & Leadership, and he is now specializing in Mental Health and Counseling (LPC). He is the co-founder of the Penn GSE Global Possibility Network, a global network to enhance youth development using Possibility Development Counselling. Previous to joining Penn GSE, Flavio served as the Chief Human Resources officer at 3G Capital’s partner companies. With more than 25 years of executive experience, including the C-suite, he worked in several different areas such as Management for Result & Leadership, Human Resources, Supply Chain & Operations, Sales & Marketing, Strategy & Planning, M&A integration, and Innovation & Technology. |
