Multimodality takes center stage at Screening Scholarship Media Festival

“If all ethnography is fiction, can we tell a better fiction with film?” asked Veena Vasudevan, a doctoral student in Penn GSE’s Teaching, Learning, and Leadership program. Performing the Digital, the third-annual Screening Scholarship Media Festival, showcased ethnographic multimedia from Penn GSE and around the world.

Kickstarter campaign aims to develop educational toys from Yasmin Kafai’s research

Cirkits, a project that bridges traditional craft with technology, provides new ways for children to learn creatively about electronics. A Kickstarter campaign launches January 16 with a goal of raising $15,000 by February 15 to pay for the production and distribution of the sewable electronic kits.
